Earth Hour
Tomorrow is the big day for WWF’s Earth Hour. I’ve been signed up for about a week and hopefully I’ll remember to turn out the lights tomorrow night. You can get signed up too.
I’ve been wandering around the house aimlessly trying desperately to get the house more organized. MC’s toy room looks nice. I went through some of his toys and put some of his baby stuff into storage. I also took some of the toys off the shelf with plans hopes to rotate a few toys around. I cleared some clutter out of the bedroom and attempted to pretty it up a little. The kitchen is, as always a daily adventure in cleaning. At least it’s managed to stay nice for the week.
My biggest issue with trying to organize and purge is where to put stuff that doesn’t have a “home” yet. For now it’s sitting in a laundry basket ready to be distributed to the right spots…which I can never seem to find. In the midst of the few things I want to keep I’m unearthing large quantities of garbage and recycling. Nice.
I swear it must be the spring cleaning ads and blogs that have lit a fire under my butt. That and seeing how nice other people’s homes are, makes mine look like a sty. *insert dramatic sigh here*
Oh, oh, oh…I saw a ROBIN. I did. Pinky swear. Spring has sprung and I am so ready to head outside.

Mmm Coffee
I’m peacefully enjoying my first cup of coffee of the day. I love this cup of coffee since it’s the only one I actually sit for. Maybe “peacefully” is giving you the wrong impression…I’m actually sitting on the couch listening to Thomas the Tank Engine AGAIN. We’ve only got two videos of Thomas, I’m getting to know them well.
The dogs are in the midst of their morning freak out which involves lots of pouncing, barking and neck grabbing. Merlin (the instigator) gives Zoe “the look” (get your mind out of the gutter, he neutered) and she in turn pounces on him until they’re both rolling on the floor and gratuitous neck grabbing and barking ensue. Flash barks at them because of their sheer audacity at having fun WITHOUT HIM. How dare they.
The boy is standing on the couch watching the morning festivities. And then of course he needs to come and help me with typing…he’s very helpful.
Yup…this is peaceful. All is right with the world and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Blah
Okay…I’m feeling pretty blah today. I’m exhausted, MC is exhausted…we seem to be together on this tired thing.
And I’ve been playing with my webkinz today. I’m obsessed with cash…more CASH…give me MORE. Why? What on earth could I possibly need this cash for? Well…I can’t have my little webkinz sitting in an empty room, can I? He needs big screen TVs, boom boxes, BB-Q’s, lamps, beds, pools, air hockey tables, clothes, furniture…and the sweetest wallpaper I can find. You will sit in awe and bask in the beauty that will be my webkinz mansion…MANSION I TELL YOU!!!!!
But now I’m tournamented, quizzed, and puzzled out. I need a brain break.

Stand Down
The emergency has passed. Thomas the Tank Engine has been located. It has been at least a week since Thomas disappeared. I asked him what kind of adventure he went on but he wouldn’t answer, the only thing I heard was some mumbling about Vegas.

Webkinz
Man oh man. MC got a Webkinz for Easter…a little dalmatian puppy. Now since he’s only 16mos old I thought I should give him a hand and get his little dalmatian started.
For those folks who haven’t been sucked into this universe yet, a brief overview…
Make kinzcash…buy stuff.
This place is full of addictive little arcade games and you can decorate your Webkinz’s room with all sorts of themes. The store is full of beds, flat screen TVs, stereos, kitchen cabinets, stoves, fridges…I mean really you name it, it’s there.
So if you’ll excuse me, I need to go make more cash so I can buy some more seeds to make a bigger garden.

Tackle It Tuesday
I’m trying something new today that I found at 5 Minutes For Mom. The goal…exactly what you think. Find a project (big or small) that you haven’t found time for and “tackle it”.
So I did. I cleaned out the cabinets of the bathroom, tossed some old crap and rearranged things. I also cleaned the cupboard doors, took the faucet covers off and cleaned around the taps (everybody all together now….ewwwwwww). I also did something I’ve been dying to try…the old shaving foam on the mirror thing. Now I’m second guessing myself…was it foam or cream…I’m not sure if I did it right but hey who cares.

There Should Be A Law Against This!
I knew as soon as I started I shouldn’t have done it. There was a little voice in my head screaming at me to stop, but did I listen nooooooo. I have a good excuse, really I do. His hair was so long, and there were scissors RIGHT THERE. So I thought I would just snip a little off. Hmm….crooked…snip a bit more.
Still crooked but I know what will fix it! CLIPPERS!!!
Didn’t fix.
Epic fail.
Well…
Those boxes are still sitting down there, in the dark. I picked my way through the chaos gingerly on my way to throw The Boy’s diapers in the wash and I glanced in their direction. On my way back upstairs I paused and resigned myself to at least taking a box upstairs. I tromped over some bags and junk and finally looked into the first box. Ew. Dusty old dishes, nothing like a little tacky crockery to brighten your day. I bravely closed the lid and fled back upstairs to entertain myself with my laminator.
So here I am. Laying in bed and I can hear the spiders taunting me…from the depths of those boxes.
Aw well. Tomorrow is a new day. Maybe, just maybe I’ll look in another box.
